Our Mission

We at Barrington provide our students with an environment committed to excellence and enhanced by all available resources. We instill pride and respect for self, school, and community, and inspire our students to become creative and critical thinkers.

Our Goals

First, we want to ensure that all students will exit Barrington at or above grade level as Communicators, Problem Solvers, and Presenters.

Second, our goal is to actively involve parents as partners in the educational process.

Third, our goal is that students will exit Barrington possessing interpersonal skills to be responsible learners and cooperative team workers.

Our History

Barrington Elementary School is named after Mollie Barrington, who worked for the Austin Independent School District for 41 years. She was an admirable educator who was dedicated to supervising spelling and handwriting. Barrington Elementary is the only school in the district to have it's name in script on the front of the building. It is the authentic signature of Mollie Barrington. We are located at 400 Cooper Dr, Austin, TX 78753. You can reach our main office at (512) 414-2008.

Barrington Elementary is committed to educating children from Pre-Kinder through fifth grade.

A Mollie Barrington Star Scholar is someone of great learning and academic accomplishment who attends school each and every day on time and who learns from a teacher.
